Got my attention. A movie quote for this build... "..where we're going we don't need roads.."

Revell's Black Widow 1957 Chev Special Edition

Nice build so far! Saw a 1:1 replica of this on Barrett Jackson last weekend. -
Very nice! I like the brembo brakes detail!

This thread inspired me to start a new blog about TV/Movie cars. I was wondering if someone could grant me permission to post a link to it. I would like to also do a article about this thread. I love this build off! Keep them coming. I currently don't have a TV/Movie car project to do. But I may pick-up something for myself to do soon. I hope I haven't crossed any lines by asking. I think this is an awesome community.

Looks like you're off to a good start. Nice drop job on the Lexus.
-
Dig'n the wheels and color. Looks like we're in for a treat.
-
That's some crazy stuff! Can't wait to see, how ya finish it.
-
I agree. That's a clean build.
-
Surprising, these do look good as 4x4s. Nice work so far!
-
That's a sweet looking 4x4!
-
Emily! That's awesome. Keep on building. Not many can say their first model was as nice as yours!

Is that part of the Diamond in the Rough kit? Saw this kit years ago. Nice build by the way?
-
That is a good stance. I like the exhaust work too. Steelies look good too.
-
Like someone else asked. Is Junior doing a frame off restro? Would be interesting to hear the rest of the story. Nice rust.
-
Sharp indeed. Good wire job too.
-
Look'n sweet with the skirts. Know what you mean about the axle through the motor. I never understood why AMT did this on a bunch of kits years ago.
-
Nice looking Shevelle. What are the wheels from?

That's just awesome work there man. I thought it was a kit at first. I was like where can I get one! In the spirit of the holidays I've gotta share this line from Christmas Vacation. Clark: So, when did you get the tenament on wheels? Eddie: Oh, that uh, that there's an RV. Yeah, yeah, I borrowed it off a buddy of mine. He took my house, I took the RV. It's a good looking vehicle, ain't it? Clark: Yeah, it looks so nice parked in the driveway. [Raises class to his mouth] Eddie: Yeah, it sure does. But, don't you go falling in love with it now, because, we're taking it with us when we leave here next month. [Clark nearly chokes on his drink]

Sweet looking drag'n wagon. Got any logos or decals for the doors?
-
Classy work on the interior there dude! Loving the paint job too.
-
Got some A+ builds there Walter. I wouldn't be afraid to keep pictures of those in my wallet and show them to strangers everywhere I went. But then again they might think I'm nuts for keeping pictures of model cars in my wallet. Keep up the good work!

Wicked weathering. Looks awesome dude. Gasser for sure.

Well it's pretty much finished. I dropped the exhaust system. I wasn't digging it dumping out in front of the rear wheels. For now we're running open headers. Wake'n up the neighbors! Notice a lot of kits now days don't give specs like they use too. When I was a kid, you could learn a little background from the front of the instructions. The instructions on this one specs the motor as a V8. So I'm gonna fill in the blanks. It's 383 Stroker Motor with a Edelbrock dress up kit. Backed up by a 4 speed trans with a Hurst shifter. Alright enough for dreaming. This is my first completed build in a long time. Hopefully it won't be my last again for a while. There are a few things I could go back and redo on this one. But I'm waiting to re-hone some of my skills before doing so. Not sure what to move onto next. I've got a few kits, here and there. The next one you see from me may be a 1:25 Grave Digger kit. Been thinking about maybe doing a sleeper muscle car. Notice a lot of the guys doing some grocery-getter sixers. Anyways. Check it out. You can see the build pictures here: 55 Chevy Truck - On the Workbench
