Hello everyone -

Need your ideas on two kits in the works -

1st kit is a 69 Nova SS by Revell -

I can't make up my mind on the body color - the underside is lite flat gray/flat black /semi gloos black - the interior is basic blacks - I'd like to paint it purple licious but revving red is calling my name - which color do you think would look better on this kit ?

2nd kit is the Havlin Hearse from Johan - # GC-800-200 - yes it's an old kit -

Do I go for the competiton yellow with white top or Lemon Twist and white top ?

Sould the whit be gloss or flat ?

Any ideas would be great -

Thanks - Joe

OK, I'll bite and be the first to respond. IMO, Red cars, as appealing as they are, are common as dirt, go with the Purple. As to the hearse, Lemon Twist and White, all gloss.

That's my 2 cents, take it for what its worth.

Just remember that there are 'Tons" of shades of reds and yellows as well as every other color, so not only is the color important, but so is the shade - PASTELS VS. INTENSE

The Chev's color pictured here is called "Scarlet Red" by PPG, and is the most beautiful brilliant red I've ever seen.

Every show I've taken it to, it has taken top honors, including a People's Choice and "model of the year".
