Guest Gramps-xrds Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I found these while searching through some old boxes of wheel parts. They look somewhat like artillery wheels. I'm 99% sure their from an old AMT kit but I have no idea what.
george 53 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) Bill, yes, from the looks of them, their design, they do look like they might be early AMT's. maybe off one of the compacts(nova, buick, or pontiac) They DO look kinda like Vega stock wheels, but AMT didn't do a stock Vega kit IIRC. Hope someone can get ya closer, cause this is the best I can do. Can someone help a brutha out here guys??? Edited November 20, 2009 by george 53
Mark Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Those are from an MPC Vega kit. All of the annual kits (1971-77) had them. MPC offered the kit as a "Chevy Hatchback" (Monza S) for 1978; I'd bet that one has those wheels too. --Mark
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Ok, that answers that then. I do have an old Vega sittin on the shelf, so that's where they probably came from. I just couldn't place what they were from.
