Hey kids , mabye George 53 can answer this as he used to work for de General . I have been trying to figgure out how to attach the splash pans , ( the pieces that go behind the bumpers ) on either end of the car. The instructions don't spell it out but anybody thats done Body and Fender can clearly see whhere these pieces are headed . This is almost as much fun as the time when I was 18, and working in a shop where I had to rig up the hidden headlights in a 69 Camaro R S . Ed Shaver

Ed, I'm lookin at the instructions here, and I don't see separate splash pans. Where they SHOULD be, it LOOKS like they're molded to the chassis. There doesn't look to BE one for the REAR bumper. Looks like it attaches right to the body. The Front Grille/ Bumper Assembly are one unit. On the REAL car, the splash pan would be located behind the bumper just below the grille. I don't see them as separate parts at all on the kit. But your right, they WOULD go behind the bumpers between them AND the body.

Thanks everyone ! The front grille / bumper fit O K , but the rear , not so much . Revell couldda done a better job of making a locator pin of something to help at least strenthen the back bumper . I'll show yall pictures as I did it as a 283 manual Po mans wagon fer one of my up comming service stations . Ed Shaver

I was wondering about that myself. the part is not on the instruction sheet and doesn't seem to have a place to go.

Edward , yes ! Theys the ones too........... never did see where they really did anything to fit on the 66 . I wound up kind of modifying the rear spash pan as the fit of the back bumper was real sorry too. I guess I need to post a picture of the finished wagon in Under Glass now . I just did it as a stock 283 with a three speed manual " Po mans car " . Soon as I finish foiling it and applying licence plates , mabye I can show ya'all what I did . Ed Shaver
