C'mon Brian... you can get it done! Peterson finished one... you gonna let him show you up? :) Personally, with straight stripes, I'd do decals (if you're planning on white) but I'm kinda lazy lately. :?

Peterson's 'Cuda is cool....but I bet the GT will still be done before his Thunderbolt... 8)

The decals wouldn't conform to the radiator heat extractors on the "hood" no matter what kind of relief cuts I tried, or how much Microsol I used. Not the first time I've had to go this route, and probably won't be the last...

This has to have been one of the most frustrating paint jobs so far, but after today's paint session, it's all good! First I had Duplicolor primer that wouldn't cure, landing it in the strip tank. Then I had an issue with paint clumping in the jar and spitting onto the surface, landing it in the strip tank yet again. Finally got Tamiya primer on it, followed by Tamiya TS-51 Racing Blue. Then the decals absolutely would not conform and lay down over the radiator ducts. After a couple failed attempts at masking the outer edges of the stripes, I hit upon an idea that worked, so today I decented some TS-26 Pure White and airbrushed the stripes. Still gotta put the rocker stripe decals on, clear it, then mask and spray all the black trim. Looks like I might actually finish one in '07...

That's lookin' mighty fine Brian! I was gonna suggest you might want to paint the stripes a while back.............I had sorta the same issue with my Mustang.

Some decals no matter how hard you try, just won't cooperate! Did you use Tamiya tape for masking?

Anyway, the stripes look terrific! 8)
