RoadtripRon Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 The bean counter (wife) is actually willing to release some funds to me despite knowing I'll beat feet down to the LHS. I've been eyeing the Revell 1/8 duece kit on recent trips there. The problem is that now they have two of them, and the boxes are different. One of them features a blue one and has a banner saying something like "75th Anniversary" and the other one shows one in a reddish color with a top on it and says something like "Street Rod". Are the contents the same?
old-hermit Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Actually there have been quite a few issues of the Big Deuce. These are all pretty much the same, Pontiac motor, mag wheels, etc. The newer releases have the flathead, aluminum hub caps, etc. There might be more but these are all the images I could find.
voljeepx Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Al, that first box is hilarious! It looks like the guy is saying "Alright enough lookin' now go get me some dinner!" I must be tired, cuz I looked at that and just cracked up. Anyway, Hobby Lobby is the way to go on this as was stated before. With the 40% you save you can get all the other supplies, that's what I did!
djway3474 Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I believe different issues have different decals in not already mentioned
lorider Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Did anyone notice that the first two boxes have the same man and woman looking at it, but the second box they look older? At least that's how it appears to me.
Casey Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Am I correct in assuming the Amercian Torque Thrust style wheels are included in the two most recent issues?
