Corvette.Jeff Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Ill admit it, my eye site isnt as good as it used to be. Reading the numbers and stuff on my credit card isnt helping at all either, all the "chrome" on it has finally worn off. So i was wondering if i could use bmf to restore that "chrome" on the face of the card? Is it possible? or am i just shooting in the dark here? Thanks,Jeff
george 53 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Jeff, i THINK altering your card in ANY way invalidates it. Maybe you can call the CC company a get a new one. Maybe you can color the raised letters with a majic marker? I don't know if the metal in the BMF would mess up the readers or not. You know, this is a GOOD question.
Aaronw Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 (edited) Why don't you just use a permanent marker to highlight the numbers? Unless they are really worn down it should be pretty easy to keep the marker only on the raised numbers. Sharpie has a ton of colors available so you could pick something high contrast to the background. If you used BMF you will still have to cut the excess away, and it will probably just peal off after a short time in your wallet anyway. Oops, George beat me to it. Edited December 14, 2009 by Aaronw
Harry P. Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Just call and ask for a new card... they'll send you one.
