Hi Pholx,

My third post. I'm rockin now! And, um, I've already got my hand out for help. Ball Z, huh?

I'm doing some Pegasus drag slicks for a project and I'm having trouble marking the outer white (or) yellow ring and index mark. Acryl flakes off and enamel is attacking the rubber. I did a test on the inside of the tire. When I flexed it to check the results, the contact patch split! Yikies!!!!

So, what are the best paints, markers (I hear Gelly pens are no longer made), or any other method of marking that won't smudge, smear, run, fade, flake, or otherwise destroy this tire?

Thanx all.

OOOOOO!!!!! Shoe polish! I knew that, but didn't even consider it. Ewwwwww! I wonder if there's any yellow shoe polish out there?

Thanks for the tip about the dullcote afterwards.

I'll give it a try, but let's keep those ideas coming guys.
