Ryan S. Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm still literally watching the paint dry as we speak. Phillip, yours looks great too. Love it in red!
philo426 Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Thanks! PLus the kit went together great no fit issues at all!
Ryan S. Posted September 25, 2010 Author Posted September 25, 2010 Little bit of a bummer, but not major. I was getting the little detail pieces organized, chrome and glass cleaned up etc. and I was going to put the tail light assembly together and black wash the recesses BUT, it turn out that one of the little, tiny tail lights is gone Not surprising I guess seeing that I started this kit something like 15 years ago and at least everything else is here. Not a big deal, I'll just have to fashion one our of some red sprue; sand it to shape and polish the heck out of it. ...dry paint, dry...
rustybill1960 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Sweet start Ryan Like your work nice build Thank You for sharing Later Russ
Ryan S. Posted October 12, 2010 Author Posted October 12, 2010 Thanks again for the comments. Coincidentally, this popped back up on page one as I sit here doing some BMF work on the Nomad. I'd like to wrap this baby up by weeks end so I can get to some of the other projects I'm working on. I've forgot just how much "finish work" goes into putting together all the last little bits of a model. It can be tedious and hard not to rush! I'll try and get an update pic up today or tomorrow if I have time!
Ryan S. Posted October 13, 2010 Author Posted October 13, 2010 As promised, here's a little eye candy for you all. Still working on the BMF on the trim. Slow going. The bumpers are not glued on just stuck in place for the mock up. In the first pic you can kind of see how I adjusted the pan behind the front bumper to bring it closer to the grill rather than sticking out as far as it did. (To me it didn't look right that far out.) I've got to trim down the sides where it overlaps into the wheel well. I didn't notice that before. Thanks for looking and following along. I think the next time I update this, it will be under glass. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Cheers!
TheCat Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 That Nomad is coming out REALLY Good. LOVE IT!!
brett Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Really nice Ryan, colors look great as does your foiling.
