plasticfrog Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) Sorry guys its been a while for some updates but I had some bad luck with the dodge truck project. Its that saying my dog ate my home work....my model project So my SWEET WIFE let me buy a parts truck on Ebay so I can use the bed off of it.here is some pics of the parts truck and the 1978 chevy with a chevy stepside I got on ebay. Edited January 26, 2010 by plasticfrog
plasticfrog Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 You have a bed you can spare? Dodge or chevy??
Casey Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 That BBC is looking good so far, and hopefully the Dodge'll get back on track. It's a shame the MPC/AMT GMC "Fall Guy" 4x4 is the only kit which comes with a Fleetside bed as they better than the stepside bed IMO.

Your right on that I built one before and relized that the gas cap on a 78 is round and doesnt have cover over it.so Im filling in the lines and drilling a hole in it and using a gas cap off the 66 nova.
plasticfrog Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 Dodge Sorry... I dont thats why i bought the monster truck kit cuz the other bed was not fixable.
Railfreak78 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Looking good so far buddy! That chevy is making my model finger get itchy as I have a stepside... hmmmm....
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 You got pics of the bad one? I might be able to fix it.
plasticfrog Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 Hi everyone here is some update on the Dodge truck tell me what you think and yes I changed the big 20 in.wheels for the steelies going for a rat rod look
Railfreak78 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Hey bud, That thing is starting to look really good just make sure the bed and cab lines match up at the end.
tuffone20 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Trucks looking good! What frame are you using on it? I'm planning on doing another short bed soon and as a 2 wheel drive, but I don't think I'll lower too much.
