'86 Dodge Diplomat CHP car

Well yesterday I bought this Motormax 1986 Dodge Diplomat Salon CHP car, and today I deceided that it was time to modify it. I'm going to replicate the real Diplomat's used by the CHP, bascially what that means is that I'm going to have to , add rear window flashers, a front plate, a police radio and antenna's, spotlights, it also means I'm going to have repaint the center caps and interior, the CHP used Tan interior on almost all of there cars, the diecast comes with a black interior. Anyway here's a few before pics, I'll get up some reference pics and updated build pics soon.

My mom had a Plymouth Gran Fury of the same year. My dad bought it from the dealership he worked at when it was traded in by the county. It was a parole officers car, and still had plastic over the seats! We pulled the plastic covers and the fabric underneath was SPOTLESS. Vinyl flooring and all......it was ice Blue Metallic with the Blue interior, 318 2bbl/auto. Dad took and mounted a set of Cordoba road wheels on it and gave it to her to drive, it had only 38,000 miles on it. When we sold it, someone had hit it in the front, and dad had replaced the nose with a Diplomat nose and repainted the car the same color......it had 200,000 miles on the clock and still ran good.

With that diatribe out of the way, I look forward to seeing this build............is it 1/18th or 1/24th? I may have to pick one up and model moms car!

I would love to get one or two and modify them to make them look like my 85 fifth ave I got and a newport rhode island police crusier

That's an interesting choice in police for someone from Idaho.

I'm guessing the R.I. in your name indicates you're from our neck of the woods originally?
