A few days ago my mother was in my shop looking for something bumped the shelf the 'Bird was on and down it fell, the body work was a write off, so it's givin me a very good chance, now I can fix the color of the body and interior, and add more detail. I've just about gotten it back togther. Thought this belonged here and not in the workbench section.

Never thought of saying that Mark, it's ok I've pretty much got it back the way it was, actually better than it was. Sorry to hear of your Pontiac accident, seems like it's allways Pontiacs trying to take flight

FordWagonNut- In a few episodes I remember Jimbo going to get the Bird or taking in the Bird.

MikeMc- It didn't roll, it was smacked, and took a flying leap into my tool box.

disabled modeler- sorry to hear of the old Goat Mark, and yeah I guess they have plenty of life.

weasel- Ouch, at least in the case your not crawling around looking for the one extremely small, missing part.

arni- no problem, that got a big chuckle out of me.

Epsiode #15 of the first season,

Sleight Of Hand- Rockford, this is Mr. Dow. If you think I'm going to pay to have your car repainted, you're nuts. You can take your expense bill and stuff it.

Epsiode #2 of the second season,

The Farnsworth Strategem- Rockford, this is Tony. Now, your car's ready. Couldn't reach you, so I went ahead and put in the new pistons. The tab's $527.54. And this time we're talking cash.

Episode #1 of the fifth season,

Heartaches Of A Fool - Say, I'm the one who hit your car at Fork City. I've got no insurance, I'm broke. But, I really wanted you to know how sorry I am. If it makes you feel any better I hurt my arm

It was the '77 or the '78 season. One of the episodes, I think it was "Beamer's Last Case". This guy "Beamer" takes on Jim Rockfords life (uses his car, clothing, lives in his trailer) while J.R. is on vacation. In the starting of the show, they show Jims Firebird getting beat up by Beamer. Later on the show, Jim pulls up to his body man. They laugh a bit for him being on a payment program, since hes there so much.
