pharr7226 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Amazing work John. It probably includes an anatomically correct driver with a broken left leg and right foot.

I tried to be funny by pointing a detail that could not possibly be in the model, and you have it... amazing. You never cease to amaze me.
sflam123 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Awesome diorama, with amazing detail and realism. Don't know if y'all know this. but this diorama was featured in the NHRA Dragster Insider column by Phil Burgess on March 2, 2011. Here is a link to the column, you'll have to scroll down to the March 2 column. http://www.nhra.com/blog/dragster-insider/
Mister Twister Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 John there aren't many people in any venue that have the creative ability and skills that you have. Always a pleasure to see your work!

W-409 Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 How did you make the asphalt for Drag Strip? I'd like to build one Drag Strip too, but don't know how to make the asphalt.
John Teresi Posted June 2, 2012 Author Posted June 2, 2012 How did you make the asphalt for Drag Strip? I'd like to build one Drag Strip too, but don't know how to make the asphalt. Niko.......the asphalt is a 1/4 inch 12x14 piece of black light plastic foam. ...........I spray painted it black........then I taped off a center lane and airbrushed it white.......then I gave the whole piece a heavy wash.......the foam cost about 3 dollars at the local model train store.........and is pre-cut......i used the whole piece.......thanks
