Modellpularn Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 An old model builder friend called me up the other night, saying he had "a bunch of models" he needed to get rid of. And he wanted them to go to someone who was a modeling nerd..... Ok, sure I said. It was about 80 models, many started, half built, and a few unbuilt. Many had just the parts to build it stock, the optional parts were stored somewhere else. I'll probably get them later on. Some 1/16: '55 T-Bird, '55 Nomad and HT. An unbuilt JO-HAN Turbine car. The models were packed in five of those blue IKEA bags, seen them? One regular moving box, and two paper bags. How much? About 140 bucks, if I've calculated correctly. A symbolic sum of 1000 Swedish crowns was his asking price. Good deal, eh....?

RJWood Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Yes, that is a great deal Hans. You will have no problem repairing the half started kits. Have fun with the building.
Modellpularn Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 Ohh allright, I'll post some pics later......
Modellpularn Posted December 31, 2009 Author Posted December 31, 2009 (edited) Sooo, better now....? Like I said, many were started, half built, some badly customized. But many were neat, creative thinking, and a few were unbuilt. One of the '56 Fords was still factory sealed! Edited December 31, 2009 by Modellpularn
Casey Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 GREAT SCORE!!!!!! What he said. Your friend obviously liked AMT kits!
chebbysteve Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 That's a great bunch of kits there. A lot of models "out there" don't really interest me, but just about everything in this haul does! Guess I'm kind of an AMT guy too. Grew up on them. Very good deal you got! Congrats!
