Started this about a week ago. It is my first attempt at customizing a body. I was close to chalking it up as a learning experience and giving up on it.I kept having to reglue my seams that came apart in my hands while puttying and sanding.I used Ambroid and I am not sure if it was because of not enough glue,not the proper glue for this purpose or not giving it enough time time to cure.

Also my cuts and seams have been difficult to hid. After ALOT of green putty and bondo they are starting to be not so noticeable.Regretfully so are the door mold lines.I guess I will live with that or maybe try and score them back.

Mocking it up with 24' wheels but have a set of baby moons with small whitewalls that I am considering.Paint will be some shade of candy from House of Kolors from an airbrush.

I was suprised when I set the body on the interior tub it fits quite well even though I cut almost a 1/4" off the body,I'm guessing I won't have the same surprise from the front seats and I will probably still have to adjust the tub to achieve the ride height I am looking for.Going to do a little more sanding then do another mock-up and get to work on picking a motor and installing the interior.Thanks

Very nice body work, Greg! Looks clean. I'm not a fan of the giant wheel trend these days. I would use something a little smaller. The chop and section have essentially "shrunk" the body, and I think smaller wheels would look more proportional. The Moons and whites might be good. Just my thoughts - no offense, I hope! Have you picked a color scheme?

Hi Sam,No color scheme yet.I received an airbrush for the holiday,so I ordered paint from TCP Global and will use that when it arrives.Don't remember all the colors so I will have to look when its delivered. I do think I will use baby moons over steelies.Thanks

Good to see the body coming along. If you continue to have problems with the section, epoxy some 1/4" or so strips inside across the seam. This will reinforce well.

Greg,you seem to have pulled the roof chop ok.Perhaps next time slice the roof so the A,B and C pillars meet naturaly then fill in the roof panel?

Interesting siggy btw....Do you have Irish roots?

Arni, your right about the pillars. It wouldve be a lot easier if they lined up. I thought I had them at an even place in the middle but afterwards they were off. Hopefully I can hide mess ups with foil! My grandparents were from Cork. Thanks
