I love it, I have also decided SOME trucks will be allowed.

Truck must be no later than 1960.

so only the '53 ford kit, '56 ford kit, both '60 chevy's, both '55 chevy's, the '57 chevy's, the '50 ford kit, the '50 chevy kits, that really dosen't open any options for me, considering only the '55-'60 chevy were available with four wheel drive.

Not necessarily. Marmon-Herrington did 4x4 conversions on Fords from the late '40s (and posibly earlier) up to at least the late '50s (Ford came out with a factory 4x4 in '59), so that's an option. Plus, NAPCO did conversion kits similar to the ones they did for GM for Ford as well. They usually used the GM axles for the front.

O.k. you can do any truck jeep or suv. And yes That build you started envious will qualify.

Ok I've got a '99 chevy prerunner project that I can dig out or find.

Wel I'll join in with a 99 silverado. I still have to order the kit because my LHS didn't have it. I'll be making it a reg cab short bed. It'll be stock, I'll let you know when I order the kit.

Need more people, come on guys surely you got a truck you could put together.

sorry bro

not my cup a tea

unless you mean truck when you say truck

im working on a daf 95 XF SSC that barely has some chassis painting done to it

if you want me to enter that one i will

Posted

Sure you can enter that, lets just keep it to no cars.

allright

this is all the progress ive made so far :D

ive started painting the frame

its a real pain because so much of it is molded in

fuel tanks, fenders, battery box, bottom half of the engine, you name it

SU1HMDAxMDgtMjAxMDAxMTAtMTcwMi5qcGc.jpg

i also BMFed the checker like plates that go on the back fo the frame behind the cabin

why this part did not come chromed ill never know but i think i did allright

SU1HMDAxMDctMjAxMDAxMTAtMTcwMi5qcGc.jpg

i also cut out all the cabin sections and cleaned them up

as soon as i get the paint booth cleared out ill aplly some primer and shoot a few coats of mettalic silver

i will also paint the read fenders and several parts of the trailer to match :)

SU1HMDAxMDYtMjAxMDAxMTAtMTcwMS5qcGc.jpg

as you can see i started putting together the cabin spoiler :)

this is the first DAF ive ever build and im having a hard time getting all the right tints and colours figured out so if anyone has any input that would be apreciated :)

Well I ordered the silverado from my hobby store, thing that sucks is they aren't placing there order till they do inventory count, so they said probly won't be till early feburary.

Hey If you don't mind can I enter a second entry? I've got a 55 chevy cameo that I've lifted up and turned into a 4x4. I've only got the chassis done. Let me know

My problem is I have TOO MANY trucks to put together! B)

I think I can get in on this, though. I've got a Mint-In-Box unbuilt MPC '77 Chevy Dust Devil that's begging to be put together.
