My first attempt at airbrushing,I spray canned white Duplicolor primer Then airbrushed House of Kolor Orion Silver Metallic as a base.

The finish color is House of Kolor Cobalt Blue Basecoat. I cleared with spraycan Duplicolor. I don't have any primers or clears for the airbrush and I don't know how to decant so I will use the spraycans in these areas for now.

I thoroughly enjoyed the airbrushing,it gives you a wide variety of colors that don't seem to be available with spraycans. The cleanup was minimal and easy enough. With my initial thoughts I would highly recommend trying it(especially for those that have the set-up and haven't tried it yet)

The kit I sprayed is a Donk 87 Buick Grand National( Plans are to undonk and make a street rod out of it).

Looks good! I never got the hang of air-brushing. I every time I tried it ran or orange peeled on me. I use them for small bits and weathering, but I went back to cans for body painting.

Same here, though I do like to use my airbrush for custom mixed colors and stuff I can't readily get in a rattle can. There are plenty of paint tricks that you can do all day long with an airbrush, but a can can't touch. I'm a firm believer in a good (or even decent :) ) paint job being more about the prep and technique than the products used to lay it down.

Thanks Mike,I just browsed Bob's instructions(bookmarked for studying) and it does seem doable.

Erik,it does seem easier to mess up a paint job with the airbrush to me.I think cause its thinner than spray cans.I'm not a pro at either so I have nothing to lose:P.
