Very cool! It was just last week I learned that the king of nascar had drag raced when they changed the requirments on the cars. LOL. Short business on his end. This race may be a indicator of why? Sox and Martin blew his doors off! great footage all the same! Thanks. jody

Looks to me like both cars are recreations and this video is not all that old.

Look at the tower in the background. Much more modern than 1970-71. And they're doing burnouts in a water box.

And I only watched the first 20 seconds or so. There may be more clues as it goes on.

either way Jody. Even If both cars were the real deal the race would have ended pretty much in the same way. What I mean is both are purpose built cars. Gearing, tires, weight etc. All play a factor.

Think of it like this. If Ronnie Sox had entered his "Bird" in a nascar race against Petty at a circle track do think Ronnie would have won that race too. Doubtful...
