Phatsamurai Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I am new to this forum and wanted to share my current project, well one of them. it the Revelogram 86 monte carlo. I did one out of the box and realy enoyed it so this one I am having some fun with. I added some extras to the int. made a tach and some togle switches etc. the wheels and tires are from the dodge sidwinder, I lowered the front and am using the TPI option with the eng. I may add a turbo , I need to see if there is room. I still have not decided on an exterior color, I was thinking silver I will get some better pics later
jeffs396 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Welcome to the site Mike!!! I like the updates to your Monte interior, can't wait to see it finished!
crazyjim Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Looking good and welcome. Nice detail on the interior. Don't forget the steering wheel.

george 53 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Welcome Mike! Yer Monte is lookin good! At least the interior looks sharp! I'm sure the rest will look JUST as good! I've ALWAYS liked that style of Monte, we owned a 79 that was REAL nice!
gilsdropshop1 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Welcome Mike, post them updates we love pics.
kyledr330 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Good start on the interior Mike. For the body color I would go with a charcoal color, just my two cents.
Phatsamurai Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 (edited) I was thinking silver or a dark metallic, but I decided on ORANGE! don't know why but I wanted it to stand out, now for the problem, Tamiya orange sux, I spayed i=under the hood and it looks like my 7 year old did it. hmmm time for a purple power wash Edited January 20, 2010 by Phatsamurai
Phatsamurai Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 ok I cleaned it up and sprayed it with Tamiya gloss aluminum. I like it much better, I got the chassis almost done as well I am looking for something to scratch build the cone air filter, or maybe I will hit up thepartsbox.com I dont think I am going with a turbo like I originally planned. Im gona save that one.

Im gona save that one. use a wire nut (you know, the lil thingamabobbers you use to connect the two wires the lazy way rather then soldering them) just cut of the tail end and paint it all done like this one
