Well if you had any spare fire-extinguishers lying around, you could simply cut off the nozzle and handle, and voila it's ready for paint.

I have one I made from a fire extinguisher a few years ago:

I added a small disc and filed flutes in it to make it look more like the valve knob, and painted it blue.

1/35 Italeri military field pack has a couple welding tanks that are just perfect for 1/25 1/24 nitrous bottles.

detail master has them in turned aluminum with photoetched accesories. i think they cost me around 15 bucks last time. they look real nice for the price.
