Murphy's Law Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I did one of these way back when. Mine had the base and the headlights and taillights worked. Heck, I still have the instructions sheet long after the kit disappeared! If I recall correctly, you may want to think about putting a heavier spring in the front suspension. The ones provided are relatively weak and make the front end sag after being displayed for a short amount of time. I'll be watching this build!
george 53 Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I gotta agree, that is a GREAT color for it! It makes me wonder if the sheer size of them things don't scare people off! i have quite a few of them, an I DON'T have enough room to build and display them! Which is a shame, cause the ARE nice! Hope you got alot of room for that rascal, cause it'll be a NICE lookin model to display when it's done!
Junkman Posted January 23, 2010 Author Posted January 23, 2010 Thanks god it's not me who has to provide the real estate to accomodate it. It's already promised to a friend.
JayC Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 That TA body looks great! I really like the color!
Junkman Posted January 24, 2010 Author Posted January 24, 2010 Wow, I'd never guessed that the colour is this popular! It wasn't my choice really, the guy at my local paint shop suggested it and did the painting. Don't get me wrong, I like it too, but I shouldn't get the credit for it.
kyledr330 Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I love the color! Is that the 79' or 80' TA? I have a 80' turbo TA 1/8 scale still waiting to be refinished.
Paulo Emilio Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 -Great job! Nice car! I bought a '32 Ford 1 / 8. I'll see if I can finish
Tony T Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Great colour! I built only 2 of the 1/8th scale Monogram kits, this one and the '79 Vette, back then. I still have them, tucked away until I can finish my basement, and be able to display them.
