Jon Cole Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) I need to know how to restart my PayPal account. I haven't used it in years, and my credit card has expired. In other words, I signed up years ago by giving them a cc #, I somehow got a Premier Account with it's own cc. I have read that customer service with PayPal is not good. If I cannot contact PayPal then I don't know how to ask them. I need to either re-establish this account, or open a new account. Any ideas? I need to buy some hobby stuff. Junkman Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Once you have logged in, you can change or amend your cc info. It will tghen book off a cent or so and on your next cc bill you see this booking with a ref. no. You enter this ref. no. in your paypal account and you are verified.

I haven't had a credit card bill for years! Thus my question above!

henry57 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Do you have the same email address as when you signed up for paypal? Your sign in name is your email address. If you open paypals site it has a link for a forgotten password, answer a few personal questions and they will email you a new password.

I forgot that we changed ISP years ago. Thanks!
Harry P. Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Easiest way to straighten this out is to simply call them and talk to a customer rep. They'll walk you through and re-establish your account.
charlzrocks Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I gotta agree with Harry, best to call them! I have had to call PayPal before and it was an easy call, they were very helpful.
charlie8575 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 My PayPal is also set up to my bank account, too, Jon, as I don't have a credit card any longer. You can also use your debit card number if you want (MasterCard/Visa logo ATM card.) Charlie Larkin
weasel Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 and y'all know about forwarding any 'phishy' looking emails to spoof@paypal.com right??
elan Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 You will find that Paypal has changed a lot in the last few years. And not for the better!
