Smart-Resins Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I want to find a motor like this for my Jimmy Flintstones chopped Altered T. Where can I get one like this? Jody
Fuel Coupe Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Its also in the Red Hot Thunderbird from Revell and the 80's issue P/S from Revell/Monogram
Smart-Resins Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 Theres does not look any wheres near as cool as this though! The heads look more stock, and the carbs are one piecers and the intake is way different. Thanks. Jody

Those are your best choices out there...
Smart-Resins Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 Well, I have the thunderbird pro street kit and the top end is absolutly nothing like this! But I may eb able to start from the block and work my way up. My point is I dont want to buy a $30 motor then start hacking it to bits! Id rather take a cheap plastic one and work up! I do have the single carbs in resin my self, but have seen the split carbs before and intakes simular to that? Any idea where I can get those at least? Then I can use older ford heads and work them onto this block I have then if I have to, scratch new valve covers? Thanks. Jody
Fuel Coupe Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 (edited) The intake looks alot like the one in the mean and nasty camaro or any of the 80's camaro P/S and the STP or Pennzoil Firebirds. The carbs are the same Dominators that are in all the above kits. A couple of swipes from a saw and you have them... Edited January 31, 2010 by TxRat
Smart-Resins Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 You know, I didnt even think of that intake!I have two of those! Thanks! Jody
Smart-Resins Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 Before you reply, I was thinking the kit motor I have is small. Then I remembered the 700 series Merlin motor from the Big Foot kit. So I pulled that out.The high rise manifold should fit with little trouble, and the old boss 429 valve covers fit to a T on the heads. So I will have to do minimum work on this. Thank you all for heading me in the right direction for me to build this monster motor! Thanks. Jody
