BigBeze Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 (edited) It's a Revell 2 in 1 But I did it the 3rd way, My way. I took the rims from my 300c uptown and flat blacked them as well as the truck. It needed a little more room for the rims to fit but I made it work! My buddy collects diecast dub editions and I think it looks way cooler than any of his trucks LOL! The only problem that I found with this kit was there was no motor and the hood did not open. It had metal exaust tips which I thought was pretty cool. Hope some one likes this buil. 801ryan Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I like it....I am just finishing up a Datsun 510 murdered out but with some red in it... looks like an easy kit my boy would prolly like to build one
Crusader101 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 murdered out Escalade....that's how the former mayor of Detroit referred to his GM donated, chauffeur-driven 'lade!
vizio93 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I'm not a big fan of those wheels, but that black on black looks awesome ! Can't wait to see the next one
Rick Schmidt Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 (edited) murder is not a word associated with anything positive Rihanna took what could have been a really good song and ruined it with "murder" there had to be something else she could have said? very cool Escalade! i like the blacked out look for it too, it's pretty sweet! i wonder how the grille would look too finished in say semi-gloss black against the flat black? Dave Dave from What I understand Murdered Out means all black The body the wheels all of the trim, Everything black. That being said While this one does have a sinister look I like I don't think it fully Qualifies as Murdered out as I still see Chrome trim on it Edited February 9, 2010 by Rick Schmidt
samurai7 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Yes "Murdered Out" is a term used when someone blacks out their car completely including the head/taillights, dark tinting, black wheels even exhaust pipes etc..etc...usually its flat black paint. I think Rihanna is speaking (singing) metaphorically when she sings about her cheating on her boyfriend in the song "Murderer"..meaning her cheating is killing him because he knows that she's doing it.
Railfreak78 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Don't be sorry for nothin it's all good. I like the look of this. Did those wheels come from the car? I do like them I'd use them on another project of mine. Take care!
BigBeze Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 The wheels came from a Revell Uptown 300C kit.
Rob Hall Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Cool..a model built 'Black Bandit' style. I have a few kits I plan to do BB style (Black Bandit is a reference to the Greenlight 1:64th diecast series of black cars/trucks w/ black wheels, some gloss black, some flat or matte).
samurai7 Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I love the whole "blacked out" look. I wonder if you should start a category on this subject? http://www.murderedoutrides.com/showthread.php?t=959
Railfreak78 Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Pardon the pun but on that link the Monte Carlo SS, the Superbird, and the Duelly are.... Killer
