Dragline Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 (edited) We have been getting PUMMELED here in Baltimore for the last week. 5 days ago, 32 inches. The last 24 hours have seen a foot come down with more on the way till this evening. So, I build right? yeah, problem is, all my current projects are in various stages of drying in my Mums basement. I can't get there, so waddyado? That's right! Break out a new kit. In this case, Tommy Ivo's FED. What a nice kit. Here we see the motor getting detailed. I scratchbuilt the barrel and distribution blocks and plumbed the primary and port injections. I also have the mag wired up. I'm currently getting all the main fuel feeds assembled as well as the brakes and shoulder harness. Snowy days... Mother Natures way of saying "Get to that bench and do some work". It just so happens that we had the foresight to get out Monday and do all our shopping. The Bank, Food store, then Liquor store were all on our route. Suffice it to say I'm good for the next week. Good lookin out though. Bob
John E. Bowers Jr. Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 We're socked in here too down in southern Maryland. I've been denied access to the hangar since the government has decided to shut down. So... If I must be confined to the house, I will build on!
Chuck Most Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Haven't gotten hit too hard up here in Michigan (yet), but the downtime has given me chances to get crackin on that Fiat from the Double Dragster reissue! See- There's always a silver lining!
charlie8575 Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 You folks got slammed. I escaped New Bedford just in time, and Bob will attest to it. Last week, we had the storm that didn't happen. Most of Massachusetts was supposed to get 6-10" minimum with the South Coast getting whacked bad. New Bedford got around eight or nine inches (but Fairhaven, the next town east, only got about 4,) and on-street parking in New Bedofrd, like I had, is a nightmare, especially when they declare snow emergencies because half the street is unusable for parking. Eesh. Marlborough, which was in that 6-8" range, got about 2-3". Whoppee. Charlie Larkin
