mannyclub Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Sweet jayvee! That blue is awesome color! The stripes are cool with the ghost flames. What color base coat did you use for the blue? Silver? Manny

Guest racerX Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 nice work jayvee!!! you do some really nice paint work.i can't to see it finished
JayVee Posted May 18, 2008 Author Posted May 18, 2008 This painted body has been sitting in the kit box for about a year and a half. The blue paint had been buffed off of one of the fenders, and today I finally got around to repainting it. I was able to mask the roof and the trunk and repaint the blue sections. I then repainted the whole body in clear, and the color matched really well so I guess I'll finish this one. I'm glad I was able to save it because it took a bit of masking and painting to make it.
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 You did an outstanding job It takes patients to do multi layered paint.
Nick F40 Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 I like it because of the blue with silver stripes, I LOVE IT!!
kasteer Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Wow. The blue and stripes look great. The ghost flames just take it to the next level. Great Paint!
JayVee Posted May 21, 2008 Author Posted May 21, 2008 Thanks guys. Here is a pic of the wheels. The lip was masked and the spokes were painted with titanium metalizer and then flat laquer. The inner wheel wells were opened up a bit to lower the stance:
mikelo Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 That looks really nice. The wheels really set it off. Those wheel wells can be a bit of a pain. Great job on the stance.
JayVee Posted June 1, 2008 Author Posted June 1, 2008 Here's the engine for this one. It has a carbon fiber decal on the intake manifold (applied with plenty of Micro-Sol) and Ford racing decals. All the decals are from the SVT Ford Focus kit:
