Is there any chance that RR is going to do a correct sport package fascia and grille for the GTO, instead of a repop of the PL '05 version which (while looking good) is only about half-baked?

I say this not to try to cause a fuss, but because the Polar Lights '05 fascia and hood aren't quite accurate for the GTO. The upper grille surrounds weren't done, the lower grille pattern isn't correct, and I'd love to have seen the foglamp areas corrected (deep set instead of simply flush behind the lense). In buying resin aftermarket stuff, I look forward to seeing engineering improvements vs. a straight repop of parts that weren't done right in the first place. I know these parts vastly improve the look over the '04 GTO and I've already got enough '05's, but I would buy the parts if they were corrected. Kudos to filling the license plate holes :D

Any chance RR is going to do the widebody GTO Judge show car? Seems like a perfect opportunity for someone like RR

I'm finally happy to see that I can get these parts seperately now. I will have to agree with Bob though, these seem like re-pops of the 05, which isn't bad at all. Just need the changes mentioned.

Are their plans to utilize the rear fascia with the distinct "GTO" lettering in the back?

Reliable Resin has LOTS on the plate right now. Got another project working that needed the repopped parts so we took the easy way out.

Zoom Zoom or Crispy, if either of you two have the time or the desire to re-engineer these parts for resin casting, have at it and send them to us. Same for the wide body car. If there is enough demand for the rear fascia, we might offer it too. I just looked at the kit part and it does not have the "GTO" relief script cast in. Any ideas for how to do that one?

As for the foglights, I know how I'll go about correcting mine when I build it. I would also have some ideas for the 2006 rear taillights. The headlights desparately need reworking too.

Thanks for your comments and enthusiasm for these new RR products.

Thanks Marc for taking the time to show us these products. I plan on getting a few hoods and front fascias to tie me over. The only problem I see is getting the clear tails.

I'm very happy with my iteration of the '06 GTO, but the main thing missing like I mentioned is the rear fascia GTO lettering. If I could do it I would. Not sure how or where to start. The other imperfections I can see doing on my own.

Marc, I'd love to see your headlight idea. Have you seen my take on the headlights and tail-lights??

As far as a wide-body, I certainly understand the problem their. That'll take a lot of styrene filling and putty to git r done!

Anyway, Thank Don for taking the time to offer these parts individually.

I've talked briefly with Don regarding the front fascia. We will be scribing around the grille openings and correcting the front foglights. Might look into the lower grille too.

Also might offer a version like the orange 1:1 with the shaker hood with a more aggressive front lip spoiler.

Stay tuned....

Thanks Marc 8)

With so much on my plate, who knows if/when I'd get to any of those conversions. I fully intend on building the widebody GTO Judge, but at the rate I'm going it could be a decade from now if I have to do the work myself. The thought that someone else might do it in resin would really save me some time

How's this?

Will be upgrading the fogs on both the 2004 and 2005 GTO front fascias. The lamp bucket will be cast into the fascia and the lens is a modified kit part that will be cast in crystal clear resin. Just add some matt black paint to the area, BMF the bucket, and attach the lens with white glue.

I think this is what you are looking for. Now if I could figure out something for the headlights and taillights.

Marc that is excellent! Let me know when these are available. That really sets it off. Looks very realistic.

Any chance I could get you to re-introduce the GTO pieces here? as in what will be offered?

The kits are cheap enough to buy, but that driving light put me over the edge and I'll have to get a couple.

Thanks for sharing.

Chris
