Hey, y'all.

I just picked up the new MPC 1974 Roadrunner kit, today. I will be using it to build a custom XMODS pro-touring style racer. This will be an R/C car. It will look similar to this car, but it will be Mettalic Black with blacked out windows, and the white stripes. I'm thinking of calling it Black Shadow. For those who don't know what they are, XMODS are highly customizable R/C cars. You can upgrade the motors, suspention, wheels, frame, and even body. They are about 1/25th scale.

Sweet! I almost bought an XMOD a while back. They were on sale for like 25$ or so. I may still grab one after seeing how yours turns out. I will watch this thread!!!

Thanks, Ken. They are cool cars. You can still find them on Ebay.

I have the XMODS '68 Firebird packed away somewhere. I bought a few upgrades for it but never really did much with since my house at the time was mostly carpet.

Cool. I'd love to get my hands on one of those someday.

I have the first gen Nissan 350z that I put almost $200 into with an all aluminum front end (Suspension and steering). Also has a custom graphic job done by my brother (all vinyl). Definitely worth picking up if you can still find one. There was alot of aftermarket support for them both through Radio Shack and websites like atomicmods.com.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I ran into a problem. I went to put on the white hood decal, and the darn thing broke. So, I think I'm gonna leave it completely black.

I got a bunch of the GEN 1 XMODS from when I worked at rad shack back in 2003 I had to demo them in the distirct I worked

I'll have to find the one I custom painted

Cool. You got either the Camaro or Firebird? I've been looking for one of them.
