It couldv'e been damaged at one time and they just replaced the nose with whatever they had on hand. I dont know much about the Rusty Experience, but from what I've seen at various events, cars that aren't being scrutinized in a sanctioned race have all kinds of weird anomalies. I doubt they are trying to keep these cars accurate. The headlight decals on the one you posted are also a little different, not like the cup ones. Probably from an Arca or K&N car.

Hi! I usually post up in the NASCAR sections of this forum, but I have just built my first Aircraft, a Lindberg F-104 C in 1/48th. The bare-bones decal sheet included in the kit is for a Vietnam-era bird, I believe. It does not include the "U S AIR FORCE" decal that goes below the cockpit on either side or any of the "FG-XXX" markings for the rear fuselage. I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some decals for these. I have scoured eBay and google and can't find anything that doesn't come on some massive, expensive sheet. Thank you in advance for any help!! -Justin

Just Fantastic. I miss fat tires on sports cars.

Look man, this is a model forum. You can't just post pics of real cars and say you "built" them. I kid. That is absolutely stunning!

Aston Martin DBS "Carbon Edition" - 1/24 Tamiya

Cool!! Now you just have to build a model of it!! -
Here he comes, here comes Speed Racer!!

This is just awesome! Transformers are my favorite and I've been considering building a model to look like one for awhile. Would probably do an Optimus. Great job!! The large tires capture the essence of a "cartoon" or fantasy vehicle and somehow make it more fun. And yes, Deathgoblin, the alternators were 1/24.

I love it! I play in a band and we could definitely carry all of our equpiment in that and make a statement before we even hit the stage.

Looks real good! FWIW, I don't like Testors paint either. The CRX is one of my favorite tuner subjects.

I love them! All the cool aviation cues Ford was taking with their later T-birds, but in a Mopar! (Was Chrysler considered Mopar then? Oh well, you know what I mean).

Awesome! Thank you for putting the red stripes only on one side, the way its supposed to be! I've seen too many on the Barrett-Jackson/Mecum auctions that have them on both sides.

That's an WWII fighter motor. Holy hell that's awesome!!

What's Your Achilles Heel?
AceofBass replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Mine is definitely patience. I've been wanting try so many new things on my model kits, but just have had no patience to sit and try something. I know I COULD scratchbuild something if I actually sit down and try. I'm hoping that by watching more how-to videos and reading more tutorials, I will be more motivated to try things and let a good result make it easier to be patient. And Dr. Cranky, it's actually an inspiration to hear your weaknesses because I've been following some of your weathering-oriented builds lately and that is going to be my next venture. Yours always look absolutely amazing! -

Being an art major, I love the sort of abstract/modern art look of it! -
Awesome! I love models of screen cars.

As you know, there is a wealth of great work on this forum. But, that is one of the coolest cars I've seen in a while!! It's so clean, yet has so much character. Hell, you got 2 full pages of comments in one day!! Just plain awesome, man!!

Imagine taking that thing on the Autobahn!

If I may ask, what do you use to dissolve the glue to get the car apart?

You just got my vote for the coolest rat rod on here. (Not to say that the others aren't absolutely awesome, of course).

Great job! The $50 Revell model you are referring to is most likely a Revell of Germany kit. They are very high quality (almost Tamiya quality) kits that generally have a ton of pieces with finer detail than standard Revell kits.

I remember these. Always wanted one. Very creative changing the look of something other than a model.
