MikeMc Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Found an easy way to slip those plug boots onto the wires.....use a "T" pin, insert the boot 1/2 way onto the pin, line up the ig wire and slide it on with tweezers!
FordSixFour Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Outstanding! I've been looking for an easy way to boot a wire for a long time. Thanks for the tip.
Railfreak78 Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Great idea! I have not tried boots yet but my buddy fought with his so when I try it will be easier thanks!
crazyjim Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 I guess the boot wire - black only - comes with the distribtor? I use telephone wire that I pull out the copper wire. Comes in 4 colors - red, green, yellow, black.
weasel Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 a long time ago i had some wire from somewhere and the casing was really soft/pliable, stripped it all down and it's the perfect size, both inner and outer diameters, for plug boots and the plug wire easily fits/slides into the boot..i just paint to choice or leave them black...
