charlzrocks Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Congrats man! Hope that it's a job you like! Work is made so much easier if it's something that you actually like to do! Me, I am a Reproductive Therapist.....or in laymans terms a Copier Repair Man. I love it most times, but I work part time due to health issues so it's always a challenge. Good Luck!
Mooneyzs Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Hey Brian.... Congrats on the new job!!! Just like you I have been in the same boat being laid off in our 5th round of layoff's back on December 1st with the company I was working at. Getting back into this hobby has helped me during this time. But I have some irons in the fire and hopefully something comes thru soon for me. Good Luck with the new job.
Railfreak78 Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 Thanks everyone! I think I will like this a lot. Seems like a good group of people and the boss man actually worked for GM designing cars for awhile and military detoured him. He is a car guy so we already get along. I hope everyone in my last boat has the best of luck. Charles.. Leave it up to us guys to really change what we do to something fancy I have been guilty in the past shhhh
Guest Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Congrats on the job! The wife and I have been out over a year each.
whale392 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Heck Brian, building the models kept you sane during your unemployed stint, and we enjoyed looking at the finished builds and going along for the rides on the build-ups. Why would we mind about the posting?.....that's what we're here for. Good to here you'll be back to work, good on you and on your model-buying cashflow! Continue to keep us posted on your builds; I know this isn't quite your living room, but it is like a home.
ricky12 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Congrats on the job hope it works out for you . and I am still looking my self going on almost a year . I only hope that the anoucement of my previous employer closing for good will help. Because im sure some people over looked me thinking i would go back if i had the chance.
crazyjim Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Congratulations Brian. Being retired I don't have to worry about the job scene. Best of luck to you.
modelhut Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Congratulations! There is hope. I am in my 10th month of unemployment, and it gets downright depressing at times. I wish you the best
