Those old ertl kits (even the repops) were/are great kits to build....Back in the day; the ertl branded kits were light years ahead of the amt kits; and were much more enjoyable for me to build...I think the only difference now is that the body work is not molded yellow...the 4300 kit just seems to fall together; you should enjoy it....no real hidden pitfalls I remember.........matt

Blake,

That kit ain't worth a flip, you'd be better off sending it to me to save your hair. Seriously though, I haven't built it in a long time, but that I remember, it was a nice kit. I don't remember whether there were fit issues or not, but it built into a nice display piece. I recently picked up one and will give it a go eventually.

I think it's about a 1975 or so.

Hey Blake, I have to agree with everyone else the kits go together pretty well, well the older ones, I have not built the re-issue yet but when I picked up a few of them I liad one out beside one of the old Ertl kits and the only diff. I saw was the color of the plastic.

If you ever want to try another one in a newer style truck I have a 9300 update conversion parts set listed on our website :D

That's a sweet looking conversion, dude. There's a couple of 9300 dumps owned by Resmussen running around here in CNY.

No problem on the conversion ( its 40.00 ), I like the older trucks better as well,I just dont have too much going on there yet with the resin except an old 60's needle nose Kenworth and I dont have it listed on the site yet. This is a link to our website
