Missing thread?

I thought I saw a post this morning from David Burket (The Model King) about his upcoming 2007 releases..incl. the '70 Wildcat. I can't find it now...maybe it wasn't this forum but the SA forums? I know it wasn't on the Hobby Heaven board or the AF one..

Or maybe I imagined it.. I'm too young for Alzheimers.

I didn't see the thread, but it was probably deleted because of their "no free advertising" policy.

I posted a pic on the S.A. forum of resin chopper fenders, still in the package, from Reps & Mins and the thread was deleted. I was told it was free advertising. But, for some reason, it's okay to use the fenders on a built-up chopper model and then say where you got them!!!!! Then, by way of email, I was practically accused of being a "plant" for Norm to advertise for him. Not only was I insulted by that idea, but I feel it was a hell of an insult to Norm Veber, who has advertised in every S.A. issue for the past 23 years.

Just another reason I refuse to post there. Once I saw how it was being run, I decided that I didn't want to spend ANY time there. I don't even post show photos there anymore.

The Scale Auto Site was pretty cool a couple years ago, then they started changing how it was run, then the politically correct ###### started running rampant.

They actually posted that if you built the General Lee, and you posted a picture of it, the roof could not be visible, this was within a year and a half of a 2 part article by my buddy Ken Hamilton on building THAT CAR and setting up the Jump Diorama! I remember this VERY WELL because the Sherrif's car in those two articles was MINE! To me is was "Do as I say not as I do!" I buy the magazine just for Ken's column anymore. I do buy Model Cars because the buildups and such are much better! I think the quality of MC is much better as well.

SA is not a magazine so much as a brochure anymore!

I have refused to even buy the magazine since a good friend which is a member here and the event organizer for the show in Puerto Rico. Offered to pay all expenses and they said that they wanted nothing to do with Puerto Rico. Hey with expenses paid I would go to the moon. Just my 2 centavos (cents). trust me it is a great event and if you need a vacation and want to go to a great show kill 2 birds with one stone and go to this years show.
