Rat Fink Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 This is my first car project after getting back into model building. The progress so far....flocked and detailed the interior as best I could. Engine detail done. The distributor is from MAD. I painted the headers silver and then dry brushed some dark grey and then white at the exhaust ports to simulate heat discoloration. I didn't do any fuel lines yet..I'm contemplating if I really want to get that far into it lol. Overall view of the interior thus far... Candy went on this morning. Had a little orange peel as the temps weren't warm enough yet to get a smooth lay down of the paint. I don't have a spray booth or a dedicated work area so I have to spray outside. The pictures really don't do it justice but it looks "deep". I had one small fish eye show up but the body stripe will cover it up. Any comments or feedback are welcome....don't worry I'm not sensitive LOL. Thanks for looking!

crazyjim Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Looking terrific, Eric. I put a silver basecoat on my '69 Nova yesterday.

The red is the Metalcast, over a silver base #T191 and I also used the Clear Effex over the silver to give it more sparkle. Primer was white.
