Railfreak78 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 So anyone watching this on the bench was wondering the direction I was going with this. I live by Luke Air Force base and being this was a Mustang it was a no Brainer. So to the men and women of all the Armed Forces all branches thanks for giving me the chance to make models at my home safely. This is a mix of 2006 Revell muscle Mustang and it's decaled with P-51D and F-14 decals. I need to tack the decals down better and dull coat but I'm considering it done. Enjoy!
Jared Roach Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Wow that is awesome!! Love the way it looks! The whole concept does work together quite well. But I think you should sharpy or paint the edge of the windows black to make it more realestic.
beefheart22 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Is the decal above the left front fender an indicator of how many Nazis were ran over?
RodneyBad Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 In a weird way. It's Very cool looking and Unique Cool work. That'll stand out in a crowd.
Railfreak78 Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 Is the decal above the left front fender an indicator of how many Nazis were ran over? Yes, This is based on a P-51 Mustang Warbird ( some were painted and some were bare polished metal ) Thats why the fender is bare. The marks are " Kills " as the real ones had Kill marks to show how many they shot down. Some were this way some were a plain "X" and some were bullit cases painted on. The P-51 Mustang decals had german kills and japanese I used both due to this is free lanced and mainly a tribute. Thanks for the comments everyone and I really hope people enjoy this one.
Edward Gore Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Outrageous! cool. You know they make 1/25 cock pit seats
tuffone20 Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 That came out nice Brian!! I didn't picture it looking like that when you were telling me about it. But you did a great job on it dude!!
Railfreak78 Posted March 16, 2010 Author Posted March 16, 2010 Thanks for the compliments everyone. This build gave me the best satisfaction the other day. I live by the base and work on the other end of town at a furniture store. A soldier came into my store and I thanked him for all he does for myself and those around me. ( I always thank them. Always) After some chit chat I told him about this build and his eyes lit up in a good way. That made my day.
nails3825 Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Good job Brian... we often take for granted our freedom, the sacrifices made to remain that way. It's good to show support, in any way possible. Thank you Do you plan to give this to the base, for display? That would be awesome!
