Alright, here is my primer Rod build, Lindburgs 34 truck. It was a paint/glue bomb when I got it from Virgil. I never did get everything off. LOL. But that helped with this patina! LOL. I z'd the stock chassis and shortened it in the rear.I modified the engine mounts and made a new tranny mount. I had to cut the cross members and modify them. I chopped the top a scale 6" and sectioned it a scale 6" and channeled it a scale 4". I added a suicide front drop tube axle and modified the stock rear axle so it would accept ladder bars. It will ride on white walls with slicks in the rear. I did most all of the mods last night durring a all nighter! Now today I have shot it with grey primer then black primer then green primer. I have now done the salt trick. Waitiing to scuff it out, add the M.A.S.H. decals and weather it! I will be powered by a 60,s hemi yet to still build. Hardest part left is to scratch a interior. Heres pics as of this morning. Jody

Here is a quick update. I copied a picture off of the net and resized it, then I printed it onto white decal paper. Now I woke up early this morning, so I busted out Uncle Ben and I weatherd the cab and bed. Then I rusted them. After that was all dry, I applied the decals to each door. Now once they were set, I went to do a light rusting on them(unshaken container so it was mostly alcohol. However, it started to wrinkle the decal! man did I get upset quick! That was not the effect I wanted! However, then I realized these would have been possibly old stickers if they were not painted on, and I realized old stickers do peal and curl over. So I decided it was perfect! LOL. Then I did the next side. Rolling right along. Next job besides finishing the chassis and starting on the grill surround is taking the wheels I really want to use and sand them, paint on the white walls then weather them! Hopefully by the end of tomorrow I will have a finished rolling chassis? Jody

You sure Virg didn't help you with the rust? It's that good! Like those pock marks in the back of the cab... nice stuff!
