Ryan Quantz Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Good looking car! Are you going to foil the scripts and "V" emblems? Or are you going for the "painted over" look? Really is a sweet looking Chebby though.
James2 Posted March 25, 2010 Author Posted March 25, 2010 I'm waiting for some decals to come in yet and I think I might try the Blackwidow V's.
Pete L. Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 (edited) really cool build, captured the look of the cars from my yoot ! Edited March 26, 2010 by Pete L.
walt francis Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Now that is standing tall OUT-STANDING !!!!!!
Railfreak78 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 I'm getting ready to do a few Tri 5 projects and have never built a gasser in my life. Yours inspires me ( Great looking car BTW ) What did you use for the front axle and the lift?
James2 Posted March 27, 2010 Author Posted March 27, 2010 This is the second of the three I'm doing. The front axle is just a piece of .100" styrene tube or rod. I have used both. The springs are re-arched parts box pieces. This is a link to the 57 WIP, I hope it works. Thanks. My link
jedimastergary Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 cool nice job looks like it just rolled out of a barn and is looking for a place to open up and run fast. I HAVE A 55 that is set up like that have not built it yet was thinking of doing some changes to make it mor 50's-60's style drag car.
Tijuanataxi Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 That looks just killer.... I have always loved those high riders/gasser style cars, but especially the ones in street trim (none dragracers) Its simply bad a** and tough looking.....
larman Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Cool! You got the weathering just right! Look's lifelike.
Greg Cullinan Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 James this is one of the coolest gassers I've seen due to the roughness of it's appearance.Looks like you just got home from the strip.
