RodneyBad Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Must Revell since AMTs are just Snaps. paint looks Great. Interior looks really good. Nice work..
mrmike Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 Thanks guys! Yes, this is the Revell kit and I used some of the decals I had left over from the AMT kit. I don't like the carbon fiber hood stripe and chose to use the "Defender" stripes from the AMT Challenger R/T instead.
Railfreak78 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 That came out really nice! I like that color and good choice with the different decal option.
Greg Cullinan Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Nice looking modern car.I don't see too many modern car models and I have to say I don't know why after seeing how nice they can resemble the 1/1 versions. The interior is dead on to the plan all one color style of alot of newer cars.
mrmike Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 Thanks Brian and Greg! With the model companies seemingly doing better, perhaps we can see more modern model cars from them in the future.
sjordan2 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Very nice work, and the paint doesn't have the oversize metalflake look of most metallics at this scale. What paint did you use?
Tony T Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Nice build! I've got that kit, and I hope mine comes out as good as yours did!
vizio93 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Nice job man, I've got a 2009 Challenger (AMT Version) in the works, that I need to devote more time to
janositamas Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Nice job, I especially like the blue paint on the body, it suits the car well, clean job overall!
mrmike Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 (edited) Thanks guys! Very nice work, and the paint doesn't have the oversize metalflake look of most metallics at this scale. What paint did you use? The paint I used was Tamiya TS-54 Light Blue Metallic. I was hoping to somewhat replicate B5 Blue Pearl that is available on the 2010 Challengers. The spray can cap is close, but the paint itself was a bit darker. Hey, I tried! Edited March 30, 2010 by mrmike
