Buying that must have model !!!!!

Hey there guys,

Has anyone had to buy a model due to it being a "special car"

Mine was the reissue of the 1937 AMT chevy coupe just because it has my last name and state on the stickers witch I've never had happen to me before.

What's yours?

most of my "must haves" involve cars ive owned or currently own. that pretty much leaves me out in the cold unfortunately.

For me it had to be when Monogram came out with the '65 Chevy Impala, my first car! You never forget your first car, and I was lucky to be able to afford a nice 327/300, 4spd '65 for $300.00 in 1971 while still in high school.

Yup! It was Johan's nice '69 AMX that was out years ago............I had a 1:1 '69 with a 390/4spd. I originally bought it back in '87 but had to get rid of it when I was stationed at Fort Jackson, S.C. in 1992.

Interestingly, I have yet to build that car as I have had the kit for a number of years now!

realy i love to build all of them,mainly i build MOPAR. one that i have to have,but cant find is a 68 cuda. i dont even know if any body makes a 68.if any oy u know let me know PLEASE!!!!!

Mah 1st car was a 50 Ford Tudor and although I have built many Amt 49/50 fords and still have another one on tha shelf, I've never built a copy of mah 1st car. Made a Bomber stock car racer out of it in it's last iteration...tha real car I mean.

Similarly to Bill, I had to get every early 2nd generation Camaro to build a model of my real car.

When AMT/Ertl released their '70 1/2 RS Z/28 I had to buy a few. Now I have a whole stack of kits, including but not at all limited to that kit, ready to be bashed into my car, but still have not even started on it. Maybe this year, maybe this year...
