blue504life
Looks pretty sweet so far. Can't wait to see some more progress ! thanks man you could probably get a few scale inches more lift on the rear by dropping the rear leaf spring mounting location down too. out of the box it's up near the top of the frame rail. for the front you may try some long coil springs fit into the stock/modified spring buckets and a solid axle. not sure what your donor 4x4 kit has to offer as far as front suspension so i can't make a recommendation there. Dave thanks ill have to keep that in mind for my next build, my donor kit was a lindberg F150 flareside kit but all i used was the trans case more pics, one day off of school and no internet, so i got a lot done for the front axel i used a second 99 lightning rear end with the rear leafs to give it the lift sorry about the pics my camera is dead

blue504life
looks wild love the tires makes it look mean and nasty bet it would be a killer trail truck thanks man, it would be a great trail rig with plenty of power to pull it out of tight spots, but it would be a lot of money to do it better picture time Edited April 8, 2010 by blue504life
jedimastergary
Looks real good now I can see more detail in the pics might have to try a build like this of my own I have the engine from a lightning project that went bad and I was only able to save the motor maybe a older ford or a ranger would be a good home for it. Will have to see when go to hobby shop this weekend. Love the tires what kind are they?

I have a set of racing seats to add to minemay also usea hood scoop on it and build it as if It was a real truck i would like. Also found a F250 2 wheel drive at another place that I got might convert it to 4X4 and build it wild trail rig with parts box seats

highway
thanks man, ill have to see what might fit the truck better I'm not 100% sure, but I think the regular Swampers he has are based on the ones you have from Aoshima, I have the Toyota from them with the Swampers and they look very similar. His Swamper Boggers and Baja Claw tires are just as impressive!!
jedimastergary
This truck looks great and has inspired me to build a Lindberg F150 flareside 4X4 trail/ mud bog truck with the lightning engine. Hey I have a question I can not tell is there a air cleaner or air box on the motor or is it just the blower I got my motor out to start my F150 and noticed I do not have one. Jordan White
Dunno if he mounted it on his, but there is an airbox that mounts to the driver's side fender with a hose going from it to the back of the supercharger.
jedimastergary
Thanks I must have lost it I will decide if it is needed or if it can be skipped when i build mine might just make my own design
