oldscool Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Although this is not a kit I would build myself, I always get a kick out of seeing one built. Great job and the wacky velocity stacks are perfect for the theme. Makes me wonder why Tom didn't think of that when he designed it This has to be the most popular of the Tom Daniel rereleases from the number of builds I have seen. oldscool
Tijuanataxi Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Nice clean build. I really like it, and we cant get too many show rods Really like the velocity stacks, nice idea....
John Teresi Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Look`s Great man!!!!!.......you sure did an Awesome job on this one.......one of my all time favorites......thank`s for sharing.
Dragline Posted April 15, 2010 Author Posted April 15, 2010 Muy excellente! What paint did you use on it? I really like the staggered velocity stacks, too! Are those aftermarket, or did you make 'em yourself? I used the hallowed Tamiya orange [i used it on my Tommy Ivo build]. The stacks are my own design from K&S stock. I cut 2 different sizes then used a nail setter to make the widened tops. Then, I sanded em at odd angles to create the whacky look. Mostly luck I wager. Thanks. Bob
