Reeves Racing Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 This is my version of a MOPAR weekend warrior. A GTX with a big engine and slicks, representin for the good old Direct Connection parts source. (DC was to MOPAR what Ford Performance Parts is to FoMoCo.) Revell kit with slicks and wheels traded out with a fellow modeler. Paint is Dupli-Color including the stripes and the decals were some phantom ones I bought on eBay.
RodneyBad Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Great color choice Great looking Weekend Warrior. I'd think a Single 4bbl would work better tho. Great work..
John Teresi Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Very nice job!.....well done......thank`s for sharing.
Dragline Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Tight little WW there. Keep up the good work. Bob
Kris Morgan Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Yep, Has the perfect look and, feel for a weekend warrior. Ya can almost smell the burning rubber from it doing a burnout. Great job.
oldscool Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Oh yeah! I'm diggin this one Always thought the 70 was the most brutish looking of all Roadrunners. Especially with big slicks on the back. oldscool
Reeves Racing Posted April 15, 2010 Author Posted April 15, 2010 (edited) Man o man, thanks for all the complements guys. This is one the oldest models I have. I originally built it at least 23 years ago. I just recently restored it. I didn't redo much on the chassis, engine or interior. I stripped off the original paint job (it had the same scheme as it has now) which was Testers enamel black and white with brush painted stripes and no decals. I changed the wheels and tires, added side windows, removed the stock exhaust system, added headers, scratched up some slapper bars and did a repaint. Edited April 15, 2010 by seveeRRacing
ricky12 Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Great looking car that's the types of builds I like . Something the average working man could afford .
