Ok guys, so I am starting to work on my truck.

It's a 99 sonoma, I will still be driving it so it won't be perfect lookin for a LONG time, but who cares.

Here is the youtube vid:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m307kHOF0E

I am removing the clear scratches from it in vid #1

I'm going to lose the pinstripe, because it just looks stupid, but dose match the stripe that runs along the bottom of the truck that says sonoma

Just trying to save the paint till I can get it repainted the same color, because I love it and find it is different.

If you want to see some other builds, and what I look like(LOL), check out my other vids.

Pt2 will be tinting tail lights, then three will be fix the rock chiped tail gate.

Here is what I'm aiming for:

so look out for pt2.

This is my first time attempting this stuff, so it is new to me.

I will get some photoshoped pics and some pics of it clean(If it ever stops raining and dosen't snow, like the rest of the province  )

Thanks for lookin

Nice work, Jared. I will also be painting my 1:1 '81 Monte Carlo. She will be Satin Black, with very little chrome. I will also be tinting the two small rear windows, and the back window. Keep up the great work, buddy.

Soounds like a great idea! :P

My back windows are factory tint but there's a couple huge scratches were a snow blower went forward and scratched it. (It was my dad) Thank godness it didn't break.

Had to wet sand some clear coat scratches off my rear right fender. Similar method. Used a sanding block and detailer spray for lube. Had to buff the ###### out of it with Mother's Sealer/Glaze using a wax sponge and microfiber towel.

Unless a guy saw it in person and looked hard at the right angle, can't tell there was a huge gash of white paint scuffed all across the fender:

Well, I'm off to Pic-A-Part tomorrow for the IROc...bodyman says left fender is junk after stripping the paint.

I'll post some pics when I get it back.

Yea I find it works good. I just need to get my tailgate repainted because it looks horrible, rock chips everywhere.

Nice lookin ranger, I like my noma better though. :(

And LVZ2881 go ahead post those pics!

Still the nicest compliment I ever received from a Chevy guy.

Myself being a Chevy guy, I will admit I am seriously considering buying a used Ranger when I get back from Army Bootcamp...

my brother bought a new 4.0, 5spd 4x4 step side back in 2000, and it was a great truck. I like to find another 4.0 4x4, but an auto, in the 04-06 year range...

Well, since everyone else is talking about building their 1:1 cars and trucks, I might as well join the party. :o As soon as I get brave enough to cut the extended cab off the Monogram Ford F350 dually, I'm going to build this:

I'm actually planning on building the scale 1:1 as a mix of what it looks like now and with some options, mainly dual stacks between the bed and the cab, I would like to add in the future. I also plan on building the blue 1990 Ford T-Bird that is slightly visible in the background before it takes it's final ride to the big parking lot in the sky! I've got the Revell Super Coupe T-Bird for it, but have to modify it to a non turbo standard Bird. I even have the correct Duplicolor paints for both vehicles. I might get started on them some year!

nice crusty spare  looks like it's never been out from under the truck.

nice tires, as long as you don't drive like a nut they should last you a long time. i'm suprised you went with All Terrains on a 2wd truck that i thought you wanted to lower?

Dave

I do want to lower it, but it ain't going to happen for awhile, I know that!

I went with the all terrians because we have pretty bad winters so my dad wanted me to get a good agressive tire, plus I gotta drive back and forth to school and it's my daily.

If I drive like a nut I'll be in alot of trouble! Plus I don't want to hurt the truck.

That truck of yours sure is sittin' pretty now, Jared. I just got the mag wheels put on my car, and I upgraded the stock airfilter with a K&N high flow air filter.

wow thats a nice lookin f-350!

Thank you! That's just the way I bought it, chrome and all. There's only one spot of rust on it on the front driver's side fender, not bad for living 20 years in the "rust belt"!
