20dakota04 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 (edited) I started this and it was put on the back burner so I could finish my Paystar.I have two of these 362's and they where both warped it took a lot of work to get them in usable condition.I made a Double Eagle sleeper and was going to paint it like the United truck below but now I'm not sure what the paint is going to be. Made a front bumper and some boxes that are being chromed. This is where it is at right now. The fenders are stretched Turnpiker fenders. Edited October 21, 2010 by 20dakota04
20dakota04 Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 Well I decided on orange mist for the paint but need to figure out a color for the frame. I don't want to go with black it hides the details.
Jim B Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Looks nice. I like the orange. I thought the AMT kit was a 352? I'm so confused!!!
Guest old man Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 nice paint do the frame a diffrent color orange or yellow ? just my 2 cent's worth old man
The Modeling Hermit Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I like it. A suggestion for the frame might be to go with a Champaign Gold.
Kostas Parchas Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Very nice & impresive Peterbilt you have there!!! My first thought for the chassis color was yellow, but to make it diferent I would like to see it painted in white. Kostas.
20dakota04 Posted May 19, 2010 Author Posted May 19, 2010 (edited) Just a small update. I did some more undercab detailing and made some hydraulic lift cylinders. What a pain in the neck to get them to work right. Edited May 19, 2010 by 20dakota04
huffanpuff Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Just a small update. I did some more undercab detailing and made some hydraulic lift cylinders. What a pain in the neck to get them to work right. I know the feeling had to make 20 of on a car carrier, took me two weeks.

Nice build BTW.

Ben Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 That's really lookin good!!!!!!! I personally love the look of an all orange truck! Orange cab, chassis and wheel hubs!!!!
Tony Bryan Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Love the detail, and the craftmanship that you are putting into this, very nice work
Old Albion Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 (edited) This is a great looking project. The under cab detail is very good and I like the orange, this would look good with a metallic grey or silver frame!! Perhaps also try a white and black belt stripe or something like that. ARTEMIS1759 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Just for curiosity sake. Haven't delt with a COE in years. Should the end of the cylinder not go between the two tabs? Therefore making it stronger? Just wondering. Awesome build though.
