curt raitz Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 interesting kit...especially if you want to build the coupe version. I glued the top on before assembling the chassis to the body...makes finishing the shelf behind the seat and the seat installation a little tricky this way. paint is krylon "camo brown" and applied orange cloth to seat and door panels thanx for lookin'
PITTSBURGH412 Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 simple and plain.................. i love it real nice work on this!
curt raitz Posted May 1, 2010 Author Posted May 1, 2010 Nice! And you're right, that kit does definitely come with some assembly challenges, especially if you build the coupe version. I found that removing the package shelf from the body prior to attaching the roof made things go a lot smoother. Thanx That's exactly what I did, put a couple of tabs to hold the shelf after I flocked it. Also mounted the seat with "Canopy Cement" so it could be tilted forward then pushed back against the shelf when sliding the body over the chassis...a little tricky, but it worked
Raul_Perez Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 WOW!! Look at you go!! Is there any model or style that you won't build? I've got to come down there one of these weekends and watch your elves at work. Next weekend won't work, (Mother's Day), but the weekend after that is probably OK... Keep 'em coming!! They all look GREAT!! Later,
