BigEd Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Hey, what's up? If anyone one here has some spare chrome big rig wheels they can give up, please let me know. I'm lookin' for the same kind of wheels that come on the Ford Aeromax. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
Jairus Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Big Ed, I have no idea what they look like but I do have a few truck kits from when I was .... ah, younger. If I had any idea what they looked like.... Also, Welcome to Model Cars Magazine forums. One of the very few rules we have here at MCM Online forum is that you must register to post messages. BigEd Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 Hey Jairus, what's up? Thanks for the welcome. The big rig chrome wheels I need look like the Alcoa wheels, if in fact, that's what they are. Seems most of the high dollar rigs have these wheels. I'm interested if you got some. Let me know.
Jim B Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 You can check with Daniel Gailloux from Plaskit. He doesn't have a Website, but his email is plaskit_resin@yahoo.ca and he has some Alcoa chrome plated resin wheels. Shoot him an email & he'll email you a catalog (at least he sent me one). You can also try Kit Form Services http://www.kitformservices.com/ , but since the prices are in British Pounds, be prepared to pay A LOT of US dollars. Good luck!
BigEd Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 Thanks for the info Jim. Jairus, still let me know what you have.
BigEd Posted January 21, 2007 Author Posted January 21, 2007 Hey all, what's up? My search for Alcoas was in the wrong scale. If anyone out there has a set of 1/32nd scale (front & rear in chrome) that they would be willing to part with, please let me know. Couple of lifted dually trucks on the bench. Thank you in advance.
455 Rocket Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Ed, I know what your looking for but the company went out of business long ago. I believe it was Tim Boyd's company that used to have a really nice set of resin 1/25 scale Alcoas. I have a couple sets I chrome plated on my Chevy dually pickups. You may try to see if any one has a set laying around. If you want a photo, I'll try to post one.
BigEd Posted January 21, 2007 Author Posted January 21, 2007 Thanks rocket. I do have posts around hopin' someone may have a set they don't need. Thank you for the pic offer. Whenever you can.....
