Bruno Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Hey everyone! Here's the '69 GTX I finished yesterday. It has a 440 4bbl and 4spd manual transmission. It's the AMT '69 GTX 440 kit, the color is sunfire yellow Y2, I mixed the color myself, it's not the exact color but close enough for me. I had some problems with the redline tire decals, tried 2 sets, and failed miserably. So then I decided to paint the redlines. It's mostly a box stock build, with some added details like wiring, some hoses, seatbelts,... and Keith Marks decals.
Harry P. Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 I think you did a great job! Man, I love MOPAR muscle. That is one good looking car!!!
RodneyBad Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Sweeet looking GTX. Best looking Mopar and my fav car too. Excellent work.
Bruno Posted May 7, 2010 Author Posted May 7, 2010 Thanx everyone WOW backwards, WOW, that is incredibly delicious! Awesome work, I hope the one I have in the works turns out half as nice. Lee, I have seen some of your models and I'm sure yours will turn out as good if not better than mine. What color did you choose for your GTX? I was hesitating between sunfire yellow and dark green metallic.
my name is nobody Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Very, very nice. Looks alot like Y3 Cream. One really nice GTX. great model.
Bruno Posted May 8, 2010 Author Posted May 8, 2010 I think those AMT B-bodys look ok, they're not perfect, but still look good to me. They're way better than Revell's AAR Cuda.
DRG Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 I built many models when I was younger, much younger, and have just started getting back into modeling. Your 69 Plmouth GTX shows me how much this hobby has cahnged in forty years. Great job. I just hope I can do half that good at this.
nails3825 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Beautiful job! I like what you did with it, the color choice and all
Bruno Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 Thanks again everyone! I built many models when I was younger, much younger, and have just started getting back into modeling. Your 69 Plmouth GTX shows me how much this hobby has cahnged in forty years. Great job. I just hope I can do half that good at this. Same for me, I built a lot when I was younger, and got back to modeling a few years ago, and this hobby has changed a lot. The internet is an excellent tool for to find kits/parts/supplies, and learn tricks from experienced modelers. Just this helped me a lot in building better models.
jedimastergary Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Great looking build nice detail and the color is good
