sorry jeff. just speaking my mind. Might coulda done it "nicer" but that route is a waste with some people.

Personally, i think the current fad treating children with kid gloves is partly responsible for less and less of them being able to take criticism. Instead of helping, that mentality has handicapped them. JMO.

Speak for yourself, I was raised the old fashioned way, me and my 3 siblings.

Are you being a XK-SS...err...DKNY....Err....whatever that guy was trying to call that other guy without any vowels? :P

That must be the new secret "E-thugging" forum code...

I'll have to quickly brush up to date on my "E-slang" terms....

Sorry, I must be slacking with all this Bench time I've been putting in.

Darn models, they always distract me from what's really important here.....:P:lol:

well, I just thought I'd offer em to you...Things get kinda scary when the beer bottles start flying around, and all the tables to duck under have been spoken for....

By the way Nick, I'm getting ready to get started on the body work with that Camaro project I've been working. I'm going to be using Mark's methods to prep it for paint and such and I want you to see how taking the time to follow along closely with the tutorial can yeild professional results.

Mark has touched base on alot of great stuff...[some of which even I have forgotten about]..This is a great chance to get back to basics....I hope you're doing the same.

Nick,

I try not to get involved in these threads but Nick my son is less than 4 years younger than you and Its possible that you suffer from the same thing he does. Instant gratification. I believe Dave touched on this a bit too. To be fair , your builds are way better than mine were when I was your age but as I got older My patience also grew.

I know it seems like everyone is picking on you and in its seem like a dog pile but in all actuality most here do see you as a young kid and want to do everything to keep you involved and help you grow as a better modeler.

I offer you and your mentors a challenge:

Pick a kit, any kit of your choice and start a workbench thread on it and build it using some of the techniques that have been offered.take your time and go slow. As for the "adults" here when offering advice on this challenge remember that Nick is only 14.

When this build is done Nick, I promise you'll be a better builder.

Your choice......

Nice post by TxRat, but:

Well folks, I'll be over on Mark's tutorial page later tonight.

Remember, to try and clean up after the bar-room brawling is done. I hate to come back here and not have anywhere to sit because you guys busted up all the tables and chairs.

PS, don't forget to tip your favorite bartenders Gregg, Harry, and Pat....Cheers!!
