kyledr330 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Nice job on that Barris custom! You did a great job on a really poorly molded kit.
Lani Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I really like your model, I have not seen one of these before, really cool
dimaxion Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Yes indeed , lotsa putty and sanding . "Heah ..Heah !" , you know the rest . Thanx ..
base905 Posted May 27, 2010 Author Posted May 27, 2010 thanks everyone! this was a really simple kit, about 50 parts or so i had it done in about a week with all my prep, painted yesterday morning and had it altogether by 4pm
Jon Cole Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Nice job on that Barris custom! You did a great job on a really poorly molded kit. Why is it being called a "poorly molded kit"? I have the kit, I have always wanted to build it.
Terry Jessee Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I wonder, too. I didn't really have any problems with mine. I don't recall any real issues with the body. Terry
Danno Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Nice job on that Barris custom! You did a great job on a really poorly molded kit. I wasn't aware the kit was poorly molded, but more importantly, Kyle, it is not a Barris custom. The Monkeemobile was built by Dean Jeffries.

Your right Danno, I don't know what crack I was smoking...lol.... But my kit was one of the worst I ever built. The front clip just did not even come close to fitting without a lot of putty, and the interior of this car is full of sink marks, I think this kit just needs to be retooled,IMO.
charlzrocks Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Great Job! Another great custom show car kit!! BTW, I never had any problems with my kit either! It went together real easy and looks great!
AMT Pacemakers Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Sorry to say, but this was about the simplest kit I've ever built !! Didn't have any of the fit problems spoken of,
