Car Crazy 81 Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I'd wanted to show off my Woody im about 85 percent finished on this one. The paint is Testors Fiery Orange Metallic and the wood is painted with Valspar Urban Beige which is about close as i can get to wood and used the kits decals for the inserts. The seat is from the kit i'd covered with a Mexican blanket.
mind-9 Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Nice one this i love woody's fresh color and the upholstery just great.
Car Crazy 81 Posted July 12, 2010 Author Posted July 12, 2010 I havent done much to the Woody except by adding a set of chromed moons with wide whites. I'd used a set of wheel backs from a Revell 69 Camaro to fit the wheels. I'll have more progress later on.
Guest Johnny Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Love it! Where did you get the Mexican blanket???
Car Crazy 81 Posted July 12, 2010 Author Posted July 12, 2010 (edited) Love it! Where did you get the Mexican blanket??? A friend of mines bought it while him and his wife went on a cruise it was originally a coffee bag that once had some columbian blend coffee in it so i'd used the bag to make a seat cover for the Woody and can make more seat covers for future projects. Pretty cool! Just goes back to the old addage "one mans junk is another mans treasure!"
DRG Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 A really nice build. Love that blanket in the interior. Nice job.
crazyjim Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 That's cool. You might want to think about painting the front axle and steering column. Love the seat cover and your wheel/tire choice - paint color(s) too!
